Sewing Camp – 101

Morning session 9-12 - Cost $140

You will need to bring the following materials.

pillowcase: -flannel or plain woven cotton
3/4 yard woven cotton fabric for the main part of the pillowcase
1/4 yard woven cotton fabric for contrast band

drawstring backpack
1/2 yard woven fabric (medium weight not slippery - it should be able to gather with the drawstrings)
thread to match

pajama pants - wash and press the fabric for the pj pants before camp
2 3/4 yard fabric
thread to match
We will check the sizing here on the first day – based on size, some students will be using the Parsley Pants pattern that can be purchased here http://www.made-by-rae.com/parsley/ , and some will use a pattern in a booklet that I have available for purchase here. I’ll let you know after they try on the samples I have made. -

I will provide cord for the backpack and elastic for the pajama pants as well as materials for other small projects if we have time to make them.

If your child has sewing supplies such as pins, scissors, etc they are welcome to bring their own. If not, I have everything they will need.

Monday- machine basics and skill building (we may get started on the pillowcases) Tuesday- pillowcase
Wednesday- drawstring backpack
Thursday-Friday – PJ pants.
