Milkweed

October 13, 2008
Uncategorized

When we were small we used empty milkweed pods to make Christmas ornaments.

My father said that in World War II he gathered milkweed fluff from fields near his home.

It was used as the stuffing in life vests.

I want to try to spin milkweed fluff.

Ten years ago this was my design wall.

The La Passacaglia quilt is in about the same state.
The Red and White appliqué is a finished top waiting to be quilted.
The smaller pieces wee the beginning on my Domestic Abuse Quilt Series.
